The event will feature live music, food and drinks, and remarks from Democratic House Speaker Don Scott, of Portsmouth, and Republican Sen. Travis Hackworth, of Tazewell. The dinner also will include the election of association officers and the recognition of inductees into the VCCA's Hall of Fame, which honors journalists who have excelled in coverage of state politics and government. Ticket sales from the dinner help sustain the association’s work.
